Roulette Max bet

The maximum bet at roulette is also known as the table limit. This is the most you can bet on a single spin of the roulette table. Casinos do this to limit their liability. If there was no table limit, then one big spender could wipe a casino out.

A side effect of this, is that it stops martingale and other roulette systems from working. If you could carry on doubling up indefinitely, you could use the martingale to win at the casino. Sooner or later at a real casino you will hit the house limit and your system will fall apart.

The max bet depends on the table. Some places have a special low roller table. Betfred have this. Bets start at 1p and go up to 500 pounds. The max bet might not seem much but this is 50000 times the minimum bet. This allows you to try out systems (none work).

Other places such as VC casino have different tables where the limits are different. They have their low roller table with a minimum of 10p and a maximum of £100 per even money bet bet. The table maximum is £2500 which is the sum of the total bets. On their high roller table, the minimum bet is £25 on the inside and £50 on the outside. The largest single bet is £5000 on an even money bet and £125000 table total.

By splitting up table limits, the casino discourages people who use roulette systems. Some do work but its like picking up pennies in front of a steam roller. You might rich but if you get wiped out, you will get wiped out big time.
